Submission on the Natural & Built Environment Bill

This Bill is designed to replace the Resource Management Act 1991, and work in tandem with the Spatial Planning Bill. It’s development has wide-ranging impacts on all members of society. Therefore, it’s crucial that it incorporates modern best practice in alternative dispute resolution.

As such, our submission encourages the use of mediation and the proposed conciliation/adjudication process and comments on the interaction between such processes and Environment Court proceedings.
