AMINZ provides a diverse range of education and training opportunities.

Whether you require high level training as an experienced dispute resolution expert, or you’re looking to better understand your unconscious bias, or develop your skills in dealing with difficult people, we’re confident that we have an educational opportunity to meet your needs.

You don’t need to be an AMINZ member to access our education and training, but members are offered discounts.

Upskill with AMINZ

AMINZ has several courses on offer throughout the year, including our five-day Mediation Skills Intensive and our three-day Arbitration Skills Intensive.

Each year AMINZ looks to provide training where it is needed most, using our members’ feedback to create bespoke offerings.

We also provide in house trainings designed especially for you. We’ll work collaboratively with you to design a programme that best fits your needs.

Mediation Skills Intensive

The five-day executive programme teaches critical negotiation skills in
New Zealand. It brings together groups of participants with some of the profession’s leading practitioners and educators in memorable sessions devoted to the practical and theoretical alike.

Arbitration Skills Intensive

The Arbitration Skills Intensive brings together top arbitration practitioners. Over three days, attendees will undertake informative, practical sessions and workshops that will allow them to engage in an arbitral process confidently and effectively.

Associate Programme

The AMINZ Associate programme has been designed to provide a membership pathway for those wishing to become credentialed members of the Institute, and over four semesters provides an excellent general base for understanding the New Zealand legal and dispute resolution landscapes.

Fellowship Programme

The AMINZ's Fellowship Programme examines candidates at an advanced level and assesses their ability to act as a mediator or arbitrator. Each year, the Fellowship Programme will focus on either Arbitration or Mediation. The assessment programme that leads to Fellowship comprises of a comprehensive test of academic and practical skills.
