Submission on the Grocery Industry Competition Bill

Following on from our submission on the Grocery Code of Conduct Policy (August 2022), this submission focuses on the dispute resolution processes proposed in the bill.

Our comments include reinforcing our view that the first phase within the dispute resolution scheme should be a mediation process, and the second phase be a determinative process (such as adjudication or arbitration) and highlighting the consequences that certain dispute resolution provisions within the bill may have.
