Tāmaki Makaurau Hui | Auckland Breakfast Meeting

  • The Northen Club 19 Princes Street Auckland, Auckland, 1010 New Zealand (map)

Join us for our June breakfast meeting with Merran Greenhalgh as our guest speaker. Merran will speak about Deconstructing Construction Disputes – Pros & Cons to determinative resolution options in construction disputes – High Court, Arbitration & Adjudication

The recent judgments in Gore St and Imperial Gardens highlight some of the disadvantages for construction claims in the High Court, in particular the extraordinary length of time a claim may take to reach a final determination (respectively 10 and 11 years and counting). Based on my recent experiences in the High Court, Arbitration and Adjudication forums, I will delve into some of the merits and pitfalls of the three options with a focus on how they might be used to best advantage in complex construction disputes, and potential options to improve efficiency in each to better serve all parties involved.

This event promises a perfect blend of networking opportunities and insightful learning for both seasoned AMINZ members and newcomers. Mark your calendars and get ready for a morning of engaging discussions within the ADR community.
