AMINZ Arbitration Skills Intensive

AMINZ Arbitration Skills Intensive brings together some of New Zealand's top practitioners in the field of arbitration. This course will be of interest to aspiring arbitrators, arbitrators wishing to refresh their knowledge or upskill, and lawyers, counsel and other parties involved in arbitration. Attendees will undertake a range of informative and practical sessions and workshops that will allow them to engage in an arbitral process confidently and effectively.

After the course, attendees will:

  • Be familiar with the main provisions of the Arbitration Act 1996 and its Schedules;

  • Have a basic knowledge of the leading cases and commentaries;

  • Understand the process of domestic arbitration from a practical perspective; and

  • Have an introductory knowledge of the context and institutions of international arbitration.
