What’s on offer?
The morning will include a session from Janine Stewart and Rebecca Cook who will explore challenges to umpires and arbitrators, discussing the impact these have on the dispute reprocess and on the umpires and arbitrators themselves.
Next up, you’ll hear from Dr Anna Kirk who will look back at last year’s Inaugural New Zealand Arbitration Survey Report. We’ll then turn our focus to this year’s survey which will launch on the day.
Stuart Robertson and Anna Cho will then present on the use of Tribunal Secretaries in Arbitration
The morning will wrap up with an experienced panel including Lauren Lindsay and Tim Lindsay. Discussing “Round the World in 60 Minutes”, the panel will explore the latest topics and insights from the international arbitration community.
The afternoon session will then see attendees participate in an Award Writing Workshop, facilitated by Hon Paul Heath KC and Lauren Lindsay. A critical piece of the arbitration puzzle, this will be a highly valuable session for all arbitrators. As a new practitioner, it is an unparalleled opportunity to learn from one of New Zealand’s leading arbitrators.
