Advanced Arbitration Seminar

  • In person (Bankside Chambers) and online 88 Shortland Street Auckland, Auckland, 0618 New Zealand (map)

Online registrations are now closed. If you would like to attend the seminar, please contact education@aminz.org.nz.

Our Advanced Arbitration Seminar is a great opportunity to refresh and update your arbitration knowledge, delivered by senior members of the Institute.

While this seminar makes up part of the Fellowship process, you do not have to be sitting Fellowship to undertake the programme. The Advanced Arbitration Seminar is also a great opportunity for those practitioners wanting to build their knowledge of arbitration - and you might decide to progress to the Fellowship programme after having participated in the seminar.

Attendance at the Seminar qualifies you for 4 points towards AMINZ CPD compliance and may provide CPD towards other programmes. CPD certificates will be issued.

TOPICS COVERED:

  • Key Concepts and History of the Legislation

  • Obligations of the Tribunal

  • Natural Justice and Due Process

  • Privacy and Confidentiality

  • Arbitration Process Prelim Meetings to Hearing

  • The Award

  • Ethics and Difficult Questions

Head here to learn more about the fabulous line up of faculty members.

If you’d like to learn more about the Fellowship Programme, head here.

The AMINZ COVID-19 policy for events can be found here. At this stage, we are hoping that we will be able to run the seminar as a hybrid event, with both a face-to-face element (based in Auckland) while allowing participants to join via Zoom. We will confirm this closer to the time.
