About contractual adjudication

Contractual adjudication offers a proportionate and fast-track dispute resolution process, aimed at improving cashflows. It provides quick and relatively inexpensive access to justice, reducing pressure on the Courts.

It gives parties a procedural option that is effective and efficient, allowing them to find a resolution to their dispute and move forward as quickly as possible. Based on the successful statutory adjudication scheme which has become the predominant forum for dispute resolution in the construction industry over the last 20 years, contractual adjudication provides a private, proportionate, effective and efficient alternative dispute resolution process, for a wide range of disputes.

It will be delivered domestically in New Zealand through the New Zealand Dispute Resolution Centre and internationally through the New Zealand International Arbitration Centre.
