On 16 February 2022, AMINZ held Arbitration Day in honour of Sir David and his enormous contribution to the development of arbitration in New Zealand.
It was a fitting tribute to Sir David, with some of New Zealand’s top arbitration lawyers from around the globe joining us to provide insights and updates on developments in arbitration – both international and domestic.
I was also thrilled that the day was so well attended (in person and online) which shows the level of esteem in which Sir David is held.
A Special Volume of the Auckland University Law Review containing select papers from Arbitration Day has since been published in Sir David’s honour. Bankside Chambers is proud to sponsor the publication of this Special Volume.
