Farm Debt Mediator Applications Open
Mediators who wish to become authorised to conduct mediations under the Farm Debt Mediation Act (2019) are now able to apply to be assessed under that legislation.
AMINZ is one of two Approved Mediation Organisations (AMO) currently able to authorise Farm Debt mediators - the other is Resolution Institute. AMINZ members who wish to apply to become authorised mediators are now able to do so by filling in the attached form and returning it with remittance fee to the AMINZ office.
The assessment process will be a combination of review of the forms and interviews by senior mediation practitioners or other suitably qualified people.
At this stage only people with an existing background as professional mediators are able to go through the process, as Covid-19 has meant an interruption to the training schedules of both the AMOs.
The cost for applicants undertaking the process is $402.50 including GST.
Any enquiries can be sent to education@aminz.org.nz
