Farm Debt Mediation Webinar: Two Years On

  • Online via Zoom New Zealand (map)

Tune in for a panel discussion exploring the past two years of the Farm Debt Mediation Scheme.

The Farm Debt Mediation Act 2019 came into force in July 2020. Since then, numerous mediators have become qualified in FDM with over 60 mediations taking place.

New Zealand’s rural community, the backbone of our economy, has had access to an avenue that reduces the stress associated with the high-pressure environment of debt.

So, what have we learnt since mid-2020? What challenges have Farm Debt Mediators encountered? What will the next two years look like?

Join us for this interactive webinar, chaired by Rosemarie Brown and hear from Mark Kelly, Penny Mudford and Ranald Gordon as they discuss their experiences with the scheme and share their first-hand insights from the last few years. They will reflect on key learnings before looking ahead to what the future of FDM holds.

Of course, the session will include ample Q&A time for you to pick the panellists’ brains to assist in your own FDM journey.

Date: Monday 1st May
Time: 2pm - 4pm
Venue: Online via Zoom
CPD: 2
Cost: This interactive online training is free for Accredited Farm Debt Mediators.

Note this webinar will operate under the Chatham House Rule, to encourage free and open discussion by creating an atmosphere of trust and confidentiality. In line with this, the webinar will not be recorded.
