Breakfast Meeting Convenor: Kate Wiseman
Speaker: Speaker: Nurit Zubery – introduced by Prof Mark Henaghan
Topic: How do fathers experience FDR mediation?
Join us over a delicious cooked breakfast at the Northern Club on Wednesday 19 May 2021 to hear Nurit Zubery present the findings of her recently completed research towards her LLM thesis at the University of Auckland.
In 2020 Nurit undertook in-depth qualitative interviews with fathers who have experienced FDR mediation. Her presentation will discuss their experiences of divorce and FDR. She will discuss how those experiences fit within the context of modern families, fatherhood and statistics on fathers following divorce. She will consider whether there is a possible link between those issues and the lack of uptake of family mediation in New Zealand.
Audience participation and feedback welcome.
