Party Appointed Experts in International Arbitration – Cost v Benefit

Parties, experts and tribunals remain challenged to effectively and economically deliver, and use, the contributions of party appointed experts in international arbitrations. Indeed, the Prague Rules suggest current problems demand a reversion to the  domestic civil law default of tribunal appointed experts. Are there solutions to the problem?

Although posed within the context of international arbitration, the question of expert contributions is a perennial one for most practitioners.

Due to Covid-19 alert level restrictions this long-planned Auckland Breakfast Meeting is now available to all AMINZ members. Auckland network convenor Kate Wiseman is honoured to be hosting distinguished international guest speaker Professor Doug Jones AO. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion, including an update on the current state of the arbitration world beyond the NZ borders.

We look forward to seeing you online.

Cost: $19 (incl GST)
