Two senior expert neutrals and two leading lawyers will each give a brief presentation on their perspectives of the controversial Med-Arb process, followed by an open floor discussion on its pros and cons.
Please join our convenor Kate Wiseman and presenters the Hon Robert Fisher QC, Hon Paul Heath QC, Glen Holm-Hansen and Nick Gillies for what is sure to be a lively discussion.
About the Speakers:
Hon Robert Fisher QC, LLD, FAMINZ, is a former High Court Judge, a Fellow of AMINZ (arbitration and mediation) and has been a full-time mediator and arbitrator since 2004.
Hon Paul Heath QC FAMINZ(Arb) and FCIArb (UK) is a former High Court Judge who has been engaged primarily in arbitration and mediation since 2018.
Nick Gillies and Glen Holm-Hansen are partners in Hesketh Henry’s Disputes Team. Nick is a construction specialist who is individually recommended by Doyles Guide, Legal 500 as well as Chambers and Partners for Construction. Glen was promoted to partner in February 2021 specialising in both construction and insolvency matters. Nick and Glen will share their thoughts from a practitioner’s perspective based on their involvement in med-arb processes.
