Celebrating Royden Hindle’s contributions to AMINZ and dispute resolution.

On 19 February 2025, AMINZ Council celebrated Royden Hindle’s significant contributions to AMINZ and the wider dispute resolution profession.

AMINZ President Malcolm Wallace reflected on Royden’s influence: "From championing the development of the AMINZ Fellowship to advancing the standards of dispute resolution education, Royden has played a profound role in shaping AMINZ and the profession."

Honorary Life Member John Green recognised Royden’s longstanding dedication to AMINZ. Since the 1990s, Royden has been a central figure in the Institute, achieving Fellowship in 2001, serving as Vice President (2015–2018) and President (2018–2020). As Director of Professional Studies, he has guided over 30 Fellows and led key initiatives, including the Associate Programme, EQC mediation service, and AUT collaborations. A mentor and advocate, his patience, insight, and support have left a lasting impact on colleagues and the profession.

AMINZ extends its heartfelt gratitude to Royden for his dedication and leadership. As a token of excellence, respect, and appreciation, AMINZ presented him with a pounamu – a taonga symbolising his leadership, wisdom and the deep gratitude for his contributions.

Our thanks to Bankside Chambers for hosting the event and providing the photos.
