Ben Vanderkolk

With over three decades of litigation, prosecution and dispute resolution experience, Ben is regarded by his peers as highly skilled, impartial and independent. With a reputable and enviable history of practising law, Ben is a devoted lawyer who makes clients and parties feel at ease in resolution of their disputes.  

He has participated in many civil commercial negotiations, dispute mediation and resolution - involving multiple parties and witnesses.  

Expert evidence is a particular specialty for Ben having instructed, briefed, examined in chief, or cross-examined expert witnesses in over 40 distinct areas of forensic and scientific discipline.  

In the conduct of arbitration, areas of knowledge and experience are: company and commercial issues, relationship property, trusts and estates, including rural and SME.  

Ben was admitted as a Fellow of AMINZ in arbitration in 2016 and holds appointment to specialist AMINZ panels. He promotes the advancement of arbitration by being a faculty member in professional development and making himself available for arbitration mentoring.
